Sophienberg Slot - Rungsted

Surrounded by parkland, forests and meadows, Sophienberg Slot is close to the beach. Situated at the Rungsted coast, it offers fantastic views over the Bay of Öresund. Originally built as a summer residence for Queen Sophie Magdelena in 1744, the beautiful Sophienberg castle offers tastefully decorated rooms with en suite bathrooms. Many original details remain and historical elements blend perfectly with modern renovations. The famous Danish author Karen Blixen was born just 2,5 km from Sophienberg, at Rungstedlund. Today the estate is preserved as a bird sanctuary and museum, dedicated to her life and work. Sophienberg Slot is surrounded by five exiting golf courses and Kokkedal Golf Club is just a short walk away. The castle menu is dominated by French and Italian inspired cuisine.
